In modern processing, chemical execution, and material transport systems, spiral corrugated hoses, ducting hoses, and wire-reinforced suction lines are essential. However, traditional flat-band worm gear clamps fail to seal these designs because they cannot bypass the external helical wire spiral. This is where the Bridge Hose Clamp is required.
Designed with a specialized curved or offset "bridge" section, this clamp arches over the protruding helical spine of spiral hoses. It applies uniform radial sealing force directly to the valley of the hose, preventing fluid or gas bypass. A common quality check in the field is using a magnet to test stainless steel quality. The assumption is that if it displays magnetic attraction, the material is low grade. However, the opposite is often true for high-strength clamps.
Most clamps are formed from austenitic stainless steels like AISI 201, 301, 304, or 316. While these materials are non-magnetic in their soft, annealed state, they undergo cold-working to reach the hardness and tensile strengths required for pipeline clamping. This cold-rolling process induces a phase transformation in the alloy structure, introducing minor magnetic properties while significantly boosting structural strength.
Thread friction directly impacts clamp performance. In DIN 3017 clamps, carbon steel screws are zinc-plated, which provides corrosion resistance and acts as a thread lubricant to prevent galling during tightening.
If unplated stainless steel screws are used without a secondary lubricant, the threads can gall under load. While wax compounds can be used as dry lubricants, they can dry out, wash off, or degrade during transport and storage in hot, harsh climates. Consequently, we recommend using galvanized or treated screws, or specifying specialized dry lubricants to maintain consistent torque-to-tension conversion.
T-bolt clamps equipped with Belleville spring washers are designed for heavy-duty commercial truck cooling and charge air piping. The spring stack acts as a tension compensator, contracting and expanding to adjust to the thermal cycling of silicone hoses.
During installation, it is critical not to tighten the locknut until the spring is completely bottomed out. Doing so disables the thermal expansion compensation, turning the spring into a solid spacer. Under engine heat, the expanding hose creates excessive localized pressure, which can damage the fitting and shorten the service life of the hose assembly.
Our raw steel is sourced from reliable domestic mills. Each batch is inspected upon arrival. We test thickness, width, chemical composition, tensile strength, and hardness. Materials that meet our standards are cleared for production.

1) Precision Material Processing: We are studying the performance of duplex and super-duplex stainless steels to manufacture bridge clamps for extreme offshore oil platforms and deep-well desalinization machinery. These materials provide high yield strength and pitting resistance equivalent numbers (PREN) above 40, helping prevent localized crevice corrosion.
2) Integrated Smart Fastening Systems: Our engineering team is developing prototypes of smart clamps. These components feature micro-strain gauges that communicate structural loading and clamp status wirelessly to centralized industrial control rooms.
